I normally wear a size 3 or 4 (5'5 128 lbs 36c-26-36). A small in this coat is just barely roomy enough through the shoulders, tight in the bust, roomy in the hips, but a medium is too big everywhere but the bust and looks dumpy. I like the idea of the way the coat fits closely through the waist and doesn't unnecessarily pad women below the waist, but, in practice, the coat was not flattering on my figure.

I think it would be darling on someone who is smaller up top than on the bottom and who is comfortable wearing boots with a bit of heel. Be aware, though, that the bottom of this coat cuts across and accentuates the lower hip, so it's not going to be flattering on anyone for whom that is a problem area, either. 60% wool with rayon -- it's fairly light and breathes. It's a cute coat; just not for everyone.
